Boss OD-3 Overdrive Pedal Mods

Description - The stock OD-3 overdrive is in my opinion one of the best overdrives Boss has made. Common complaints are that it is too 'bassy', doesn't have enough gain, or needs some other EQ change. These are all things we can do fairly easily. HOWEVER...our customers have absolutely loved our personal mods on these - we make them much more 'organic', less compressed, much more 'open' sounding and responding and the notes just bloom out.  We've had many customers tell us that after the mods this pedal is the best overdrive they've ever had - even in the company of great boutique pedals costing $100's more!

Some companies will make you pick from a few different mods. Though we have soundclips of several here, we pride ourselves on creating custom modifications that make our customers' jaws drop!

Examples of a few variations of our OD-3 modifications:
paisley-mod.. a modification originally developed for a famous country artist several years ago, this one gives you that cranked Vox AC-30 tone!

tubescreamer on steroids mod - Many customers have asked about a tubescreamer mod with characteristics of a distortion pedal...this IS that pedal after this modification! Lots of mids, tons of volume and gain. Played on a Vox ac-30.    

mod_3.mp3 - Overdrive tones created around a Vox ac-30 - big and full, nice and crisp tones!  

wangdang.mp3 - Vintage Overdrive tones, soundclip is on a vox ac-30     

special-mod.mp3  - Similar to Fulldrive tones without a mid hump, more gain, more bass. Played on a Vox ac-30.
